This website WoodCarversMN.com is owned and operated by the Minnesota Metro Woodcarvers, which is a Chapter of the Minnesota Wood Carvers Association. The Minnesota Woodcarvers Association is a nonprofit organization founded in 1965. The group began with 50 charter members and now has two chapters, Minnesota Metro Woodcarvers in Blaine, and Knotty Carvers of the North in Proctor, Minnesota.

We offer free open carving sessions at several locations in the Minnesota metro area and introductory beginner courses throughout the year.

MWCA's purpose is to promote the art of woodcarving, encourage exhibitions and workshops, provide fellowship among members, and assist members in finding tools, supplies and other resources. In short, our goal is to promote activities that aid beginning to advanced carvers in the growth and development of their carving ability. The MWCA membership includes carvers of all levels of experience and ability. Our members are our greatest resource.
